Kaocoo was born from a simple belief: learning should feel like play, not punishment.
Our founders—a teacher, a child psychologist, and a technologist—noticed something troubling. Kids were losing their natural curiosity. Apps were designed to be addictive, not joyful. Schools were focused on test scores, not wonder. We decided to build something different.
We spent two years developing Kaocoo alongside 400 real families. We watched kids light up. We listened to parents say things like 'my child actually asks to do this app before iPad time.' We heard teachers say 'this is the first tool that celebrates effort, not just right answers.'
We built Kaocoo with three core principles: warm (never cold algorithms), adaptive (learns from each child), and trustworthy (no ads, no data selling, COPPA-compliant). Every feature is designed with child development research in mind.
Today, 120,000 families use Kaocoo. We're still small, still distributed, still passionate. We're not backed by investors pushing for growth-at-all-costs. We're backed by families who believe that curious kids make a better world.
We're building more languages, more subjects, and more ways for kids to express themselves. But we'll never compromise on what matters: warm, joyful, safe learning.
